These Terms & Conditions govern your use of The Growth Dossier website and any consulting services provided by The Growth Dossier ("we," "us," or "our"). By using our website or engaging our services, you agree to these terms.

These terms are meant to protect both of us. They set clear expectations so we can focus on doing great work together.

Our Services

The Growth Dossier provides operational systems consulting and infrastructure support for business owners and small businesses. Our services include but are not limited to:

  • Systems audits and operational assessments
  • Custom systems design and build-outs
  • Process documentation and standard operating procedures
  • Tool stack recommendations and implementation support
  • Ongoing operational consulting on a retainer basis

The specific scope of services for each engagement will be outlined in a separate proposal or agreement provided prior to the start of work.

Client Engagements

Proposals & Agreements

All client engagements begin with a written proposal outlining the scope of work, deliverables, timeline, and investment. Work does not begin until both parties have agreed to the terms in writing.

Client Responsibilities

Successful engagements require active participation from the client. You agree to:

  • Provide timely access to information, tools, and team members necessary for the work
  • Attend scheduled calls and meetings
  • Provide feedback and approvals within agreed timelines
  • Communicate openly and honestly about your business operations

Delays caused by a client's failure to meet these responsibilities may affect project timelines and are not the responsibility of The Growth Dossier.

Scope Changes

Any requests to expand the scope of an engagement beyond what was originally agreed upon will be discussed and, if approved, outlined in a written amendment before additional work begins.

Payment

Fees

Fees for each engagement are outlined in the project proposal. All fees are in US dollars.

Payment Schedule

Unless otherwise specified in your proposal, the standard payment structure is:

  • 50% deposit due before work begins
  • 50% balance due upon project completion
  • Retainer fees are due at the beginning of each billing period

Late Payments

Invoices not paid within 14 days of the due date may result in a pause in services until payment is received. Continued non-payment may result in termination of the engagement.

Refunds

Deposits are non-refundable once work has commenced. If The Growth Dossier is unable to fulfill the agreed scope of work, a prorated refund will be issued for work not yet performed.

Intellectual Property

Your Business Information

All information, data, and materials you share with us remain your property. We will not use your business information for any purpose other than delivering your engagement.

Deliverables

Upon receipt of full payment, you own all deliverables created specifically for your engagement — including SOPs, process documentation, and custom frameworks.

Our Methodologies

The frameworks, methodologies, and general approaches used by The Growth Dossier remain our intellectual property. You are welcome to use what we build together in your business, but may not resell or redistribute our methodologies as your own.

Confidentiality

We understand that you will be sharing sensitive business information with us. We treat all client information as strictly confidential and will not disclose it to any third party without your explicit consent, except as required by law.

We are happy to sign a mutual non-disclosure agreement (NDA) at the start of any engagement upon request.

Results & Limitation of Liability

We are committed to delivering high-quality work and genuinely care about your business outcomes. However, we cannot guarantee specific business results, revenue increases, or outcomes, as these depend on many factors outside our control — including your implementation of the systems we build together.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Growth Dossier's liability for any claim arising from our services is limited to the fees paid for the specific engagement in question.

We show up fully committed to every engagement. We ask that you do too — the results we can achieve together depend on both sides doing the work.

Termination

Either party may terminate an engagement with 14 days written notice. In the event of termination:

  • You will be invoiced for all work completed up to the termination date
  • Any unpaid balance for completed work is due within 14 days
  • All deliverables completed and paid for will be delivered to you
  • Deposits are non-refundable once work has commenced

We reserve the right to terminate an engagement immediately in cases of non-payment, breach of these terms, or conduct that makes continued work untenable.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any disputes arising from these terms or our services will be resolved in the courts of California.

We genuinely hope it never comes to that — if there's ever an issue, we'd always rather talk it through first.
